Encourage your lawmakers to co-sponsor the ACRE Act
Borrowers in rural America – now more than ever – need help accessing affordable credit to invest in their communities.
Congress can help our nation’s farmers, ranchers, and rural homeowners by passing the Access to Credit for our Rural Economy (ACRE) Act — a bill that would promote greater access to credit and reduce borrowing costs for agricultural producers.
ACRE excludes from gross income the interest received by a qualified lender on all loans secured by farm real estate and aquaculture facilities. Additionally, ACRE would exclude from gross income the interest received by a qualified lender on home mortgage loans of $750,000 or less in rural communities of no more than 2,500 people.
The availability of low-cost credit is extremely important to American agriculture.
Encourage your lawmakers to co-sponsor the ACRE Act and help to revive our rural economies.
